Amy Cline, of Ames, used Pay By Touch for the first time Monday. She said it may be the last time she takes her purse into the grocery store.
"I don't really like bringing my purse in and that was kind of nice. They said that I don't ever have to bring my purse back into the building, so it's quite nice," Cline said. Hy-Vee is looking at how customers respond to the pilot project.
